Professional Dance Training in Central Munich
The BBA Academy offers a professional, pre-vocational ballet and dance training program designed for ambitious dancers seeking to refine their technique, artistic expression, and stage presence. Located in the heart of Munich at Stachus, we provide an intensive training environment of the highest artistic and technical standards.
Led by experienced dancers and pedagogues from international stages, our program combines practice-oriented training with individualized coaching.

Professional Program
Our Professional Program offers high-level dance training in Munich. Highly qualified instructors—who are actively performing at major theatres and possess outstanding pedagogical expertise—enable students to reach their full potential. They share their knowledge and experience to support each student not only in technical development but, above all, in cultivating their artistic individuality and expressive identity.
Classical technique remains the foundation of the training, complemented by contemporary dance.
Midway through and at the end of each academic year, every student is evaluated based on their progress. This assessment takes the form of an examination conducted before a panel consisting of faculty members and/or professional dancers.
Each academic year concludes with either an open class presentation or a theatre performance, giving students the opportunity to gain valuable stage experience in front of an audience.
Admission Process
To be considered for the full-time program, students are required to audition through one of the following available options:
Video Audition
Application for Video Audition
Available for international students or those unable to travel to Germany.
Video auditions should include a short barre sequence (plié, tendu, fondu, adagio, and grand battement — one side is sufficient), followed by center practice: adagio and pirouettes, a small and a grand allegro, pointe work for female dancers, and/or a variation if prepared.
Private Audition
Application and acceptance for a private audition are available upon request.
BBA Summer Course
Participate in the annual BBA Summer Course and apply for an audition. Based on demonstrated ability, students may be considered for an invitation to join the full-time program.
Ballet & Education
Bavarian Abitur
(University Entrance Qualification)
Students have the opportunity to obtain a full university entrance qualification (Abitur) at the Munich Municipal Evening Grammar School.
BBA students may apply to the Bavarian State Ministry of Education for special permission to attend the Munich Municipal Evening Grammar School (www.agfb.m‒bildung.de) in order to obtain the full Bavarian Abitur.
From the Ministry’s perspective, applicants are generally expected to provide proof of an intermediate school-leaving certificate (Mittlerer Schulabschluss).
Applications, accompanied by relevant and comprehensive documentation, can be submitted to the State Ministry and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
The Ministry’s representative for grammar schools in Upper Bavaria-West, as well as the school administration of the Evening Grammar School, have been informed accordingly by the Ministry of Education.
CK‒Akademie
BBA maintains a long-standing cooperation with the CK Academy in Munich, enabling interested students to obtain German school qualifications—such as the intermediate school-leaving certificate (Mittlere Reife) or the university entrance qualification (Abitur)—through evening classes.
This allows BBA students to benefit from an optimal learning environment in a शांत, focused setting close to the academy, following their daily ballet training.
Study rooms for independent learning are available from 4:30 PM onwards after ballet classes. Formal instruction begins at 6:30 PM, taking place Monday through Thursday, as well as additional block sessions on Saturdays (1–3 times per month) from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Like BBA, CK Academy follows the Bavarian school holiday schedule.
CK Academy offers various tuition payment options, which can be arranged directly with the institution. More information is available at www.ck‒akademie.de. Depending on individual tax circumstances in Germany, up to 30% of tuition fees may be tax-deductible; please consult your tax advisor for further details.
